Winter/Spring Travel:
The only likely open mountain pass is Monarch Pass, which is maintained year-round but may close temporarily due to heavy snowfall.
Summer/Fall Travel:
Kebler Pass, west of Crested Butte along CO-12, offers a scenic drive through aspens. Alternatively, the less-traveled Cottonwood Pass east along CO-209 provides beautiful views if coming from the east.
Flying Options:
The closest airport is Gunnison–Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC), though it can be pricey. More affordable options include Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT), Colorado Springs Airport (COS), and Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ). Expect longer drives during winter and spring months due to potential road closures from snow.

Trailside Condo
Beautiful views from the home. Like the hiking right outside the door.
best value in CB
The location simply could not have been better. From our parking lot we could ski to the main lift and away we went! Although the headline identified the condo as an apartment, be aware that the facilities include a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. We had intended to make all meals there but we misinterpreted the ability to do so.

The amenities and ski in/ski out ability was incredible for the price, the car service option was fantastic and ability to bring our dog really made the trip!

The unit was great and a great value! Would have been an easy ski in and out had it not been for the lack of snow. Host was very responsive and the car service was extremely convenient! 10/10 recommend!!

Place is exactly as described. Perfect stay. The host is one of the best! Thank you. The ski in and ski out is tuff this year with the little snow but doable. The path back to the for ski in is not easy, with the minimal snow fall. Short shuttle ride to base or town with the easy shuttle service.
