When driving in the mountains, watch for elk, bighorn sheep, and other wildlife - especially in the early mornings and late evenings.

Winter/Spring Travel:
The only likely open mountain pass is Monarch Pass, which is maintained year-round but may close temporarily due to heavy snowfall.
Summer/Fall Travel:
Kebler Pass, west of Crested Butte along CO-12, offers a scenic drive through aspens. Alternatively, the less-traveled Cottonwood Pass east along CO-209 provides beautiful views if coming from the east.
Flying Options:
The closest airport is Gunnison–Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC), though it can be pricey. More affordable options include Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT), Colorado Springs Airport (COS), and Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ). Expect longer drives during winter and spring months due to potential road closures from snow.

Cozy condo
What a beautiful, cozy condo with top notch amenities throughout - even down to the little things. Humidifiers, noise machines, phone chargers, every cookware and utensil one could ever need, the list goes on! While we didn’t have the luxury of skiing in/out due to lack of snow, the San Moritz private car service did the trick ever day (and even one evening into town). Icing on the cake was an easy breezy check in/out and extremely responsive and warm hosts (Matthew)! We can’t thank you enough for helping us create amazing memories for our families!!!
Low snow but still excellent
The condo had everything we needed and more. Ski in ski out was a little difficult only because of snow conditions. Overall great place to stay, great views, easy access to everything. Mathew was very helpful and accommodating.
Our Family's Spring Break Vacation
Beautiful property, great views! our family enjoyed our stay. It was well equipped with kitchen essentials as well as humidifiers, fans, chargers and sound machines. We traveled with our kiddos 6, 4, and infant... Stairs were a bit steep and narrow but the older ones navigated them well to play in the upstairs living area - which was spacious with a large TV. They loved the bunk area! Easily able to ski/board down to the base for adults but shuttle was a nice amenity to travel with the kids/gear and trips into town to the grocery store etc. Laundry was available on first floor (needs quarters and can get change in the front office). Hot tub was not busy at all and kids enjoyed it (pretty hot so they didn’t stay in for too long, but would be perfect for adults to soak after long day on the slopes). Communication with the host was great!
Well appointed rental
Matt’s place was just perfect for our groups’s needs. It’s well appointed with the sharpest knives I’ve ever seen in a rental. The living room was a perfect hangout space, and the views from the enormous balcony were stunning. Communication couldn’t have been better, top notch.

Ski in ski out
The condo was perfect for our family ski trip. Ski in ski out access was great, even in low snow conditions (some other condo buildings on the mountain were noticeably inaccessible due to this year’s minimal snow). The unit is on the top floor (quiet!) and at the same level as the parking lot, which was great. The place was furnished nicely and had every amenity we could need. There is plentiful seating in the kitchen, living room, and tons of beds. Highly recommend!!

Well Equipped Condo
We loved Matthew's condo in Crested Butte. Nice location on the slopes but what really stood out was how spacious and well equipped the condo is. It really has everything even is you want to cook a fairly involved meal. Matthew was super responsive in helping us set up a mildly complex itinerary involving a couple of units.
Not too much snow but a great stay
Place was pretty great. Everything was as described and pictures were true to the actual place. It is in a great location and we were able to get there and get in very easy. We did not have the great snow, so we were not able to get the ski in/out feel but still had a great time. Shuttle service was very prompt and always there to take us or pick us up when needed. We only used it for ski service and did not use it to go into town. Still - very convenient drop off and pick up. Place was clean and had all amenities we needed. We will for sure go back and stay again, hopefully with better snow this time. Communication was excellent and had everything that we had questions about covered.
